KAMPALA WATER
This is to notify ALL indebted NWSC customers to CLEAR ALL outstanding water charges IMMEDIATELY. All
debtors should note that in order to enforce payment of service
charges, NWSC has appointed 7 law firms to pursue all outstanding
charges. The law firms have authority Under the WATER ACT 1995 to use all legal means to recover the debts and this includes and is not limited to the ATTACHMENT AND SALE IF PROPERTY to recover all outstanding water charges.
Further:
• All indebted consumers served by the lawyers will have to pay a
surcharge of 10 % of the indebted amount, plus the costs of distress
where applicable.
• Non payment of water service charges will also result in immediate
and effective disconnection without the waiver of the customers'
liability.
The appointed law firms are:
1. Muwema, Mugerwa & Advocates - City Centre Branch
2. Tibeingana & Co. Advocates - Kansanga Branch
3. Pearl & Co. Advocates - Najjanankumbi Branch
4. Anthonny Ahimbisibwe & Advocates - Bwaise Branch
5. Turyakira and Company Advocates - Ntinda Branch
6. Musika, Mugisha & Company Advocates - Kintintale Branch
7. Osilo Advocates & Legal Consultants - Nakulabye, Nansana Branches
All indebted customers should note further that each branch office will
be publishing a list of its indebted customers on top of the debt
collection action.
Indebted customers should pay up their outstanding balances to avoid legal action & costs.
