Statutory Instrument 2002 No. 23, stipulates that NWSC Water and Sewerage rates shall be subject to annual indexation against the domestic Price Index, exchange rate, foreign price Index and electricity tariff so as to maintain real value of the Tariff
The additional indexation for the FY 2011/2012 which takes effect from 1st November 2011 entails a 4.6% increase in the existing tariff bringing the total value of real indexation to 9.20%.
The detailed applicable tariff structure which takes effect from 1st November 2011 is shown below:

3.Destruction of water meter --- Actual replacement
Deposits
The Corporation is empowered to take deposits for water and sewerage services calculated at six months’ estimated charges.
Bulk Water Rates
The Bulk Water Supply tariff shall be levied on authorized operators who will re-sell the water to consumers through a piped water distribution network. It shall be determined by the National Water and Sewerage Corporation depending on the area of supply, but shall not exceed 1,908 shillings per cubic meter.
