Engineering Services Division

The Chief Manager, Mr. Alex Gisagara heads the Engineering Services Division (ESD), which constitutes three departments namely:
• Operations and Maintenance (O&M) department, headed by a Manager.
• Planning and Capital Development (PC&D), headed by a Manager.
• Quality Assurance department (QA), headed by a Manager.

The Engineering Services Division is responsible for formulating engineering and operational service strategies for the corporation.

This is the largest division and carries out the following activities among many others.
• Conducting preliminary surveys and preparing estimates for new works.
• Developing new techniques, standard designs and research.
• Engaging and working with consultants.
• Recommending and collecting hydrological data.
• Working with other authorities and government departments.
• Letting of Contracts and supervising special Contracts.
• General maintenance of water supplies and sewerage services in defined urban centres.
• Responsible for the management of the corporation's site stores.
• Responsible for the quality assurance function for the corporation.
• Collecting operations data.
• Keeping up to date records of technical drawings.
• Advise on all civil, mechanical and electrical matters, install, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
